Annual FAPE Letter Process for SY 18-19

he Hawaii State Department of Education schools, including public charter schools, will mail the annual free appropriated public education (FAPE) letter to parents of students who are on your school’s eCSSS Declined FAPE Students report. The annual free appropriate public education (FAPE) letter to parent(s)/legal guardian(s) of students and adult students who exited the public schools, not including out-of-state transfers, consistent with 34 Code of Federal Regulations §300.101(a), will be mailed out soon.Hawaii State Department

eCSSS Server Updates

May 14, 2019

eCSSS will have an extended maintenance period on Saturday 5/18 from 6am to 9am. Servers will be updated with Windows OS patches (previously postponed). eCSSS will be unavailable during this time. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Interim ACCESS for ELLs 2018-19 scores

May 6, 2019

Interim ACCESS for ELLs scores are available for users to run reports and analyze. These are NOT final, and exits have not been completed. Please DO NOT send home parent letters based on these scores. The final scores and exits are expected to be processed by May 21.

Slight delay in searching and viewing screens

April 16, 2019

Users may notice a small lag when searching and viewing screens in eCSSS. The server was patched last night and this caused some fragmentation. This should be fixed during tonight’s maintenance.

POSTPONED: eCSSS down for maintenance morning of Saturday, 3/23

2nd UPDATE: These server updates are tentatively scheduled to be implemented on 4/20 from 6am to 9am. There should be no impact to functionality. UPDATE: This extended maintenance has been postponed until further notice. This announcement will be updated again once a new date is determined. In order to perform updates on the server, eCSSS will be unavailable on the morning of Saturday, March 23 from 6am to 9am. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Upcoming new School Year on the ST-11 curb-to-curb transportation requests is now available

When creating a new ST-11 Form please note the request will show school years in the following fashion. When Multiple Years are given make sure that you select the correct School Year. Example #1 – No current year ST-11 Forms available the School year drop down will look like this. You will have to select the year you want the ST-11 to start. Example #2 – Current Year ST-11 is done to create “New ST-11

No Help Desk availability on February 26

Sandbox data being refreshed

ATTENTION: Trainers and eCSSS Sandbox users, we are planning to refresh the data in Sandbox server during the week of March 11 in order to prepare for the roll-out of our Nursing app. This will remove any scenarios or students you may have set up for training purposes.
