Special Education Child Count 2024

Child Count date is Sunday, December 1, 2024. The official Child Count Report on the electronic Comprehensive Student Support System (eCSSS) will be frozen at 6:00 pm. on Friday, November 29, 2024 (the last weekday before December 1). The Monitoring and Compliance Branch is reaching out to all of you to review your Child Count Verification – Daily Report to ensure timely and accurate documentation for each student who is receiving special education and related services.

Standardized Assessments in eCSSS

Assessment data such as SBA, ACT, EOC scores are no longer being uploaded into eCSSS. Please use other systems such as LEI Kulia, Infinite Campus and TIDE to find the information. If you have appropriate access, you can login to these systems via MyApps (https://myapps.microsoft.com/) Mahalo!

SY 2023-24 Supports* will auto-close on Friday, 7/19, after 4pm. Users can begin inputting SY 2024-25 supports* beginning Monday, 7/22.

*Supports include Interventions/Goals, School Program, Title 1 Program, PSAP, Walk-in School/College counseling. “Regular” SY supports (i.e. Start Date prior to 6/1/2024) will have an End Date of 5/31/2024.“Summer” supports (i.e. Start Date between 6/1 and 7/19/2024) will have an End Date of 7/19/2024. Users can begin inputting supports* for SY 2024-25 beginning Monday, 7/22/2024. SY 24-25 supports that were erroneously input before 7/22/2024 will be auto-closed. New Assessments are now Available for Students who use or could use ASL

Expressive/Receptive American Sign Language (ASL) Assessments Evaluations:  When requesting assessments, Expressive/Receptive American Sign Language (ASL) Assessments are a type of Language assessment for students who use or could use ASL.  It is now available as an option under Assessment Type.  Teams: Please make sure to include a Teacher of the Deaf on the student’s team.

New Assessment is now available – Preschool Evaluation

Transdisciplinary Play-Based Assessment (TPBA) is now available to select as part of the Evaluation Process. Preschool Evaluations:  When requesting assessments, Transdisciplinary Play-Based Assessments (TPBA) are a type of comprehensive assessment used by preschool evaluating teams that is now available as an option under Assessment Type.  Preschool Teams: Please make sure to include preschool teachers, social workers, school/clinical psychologists, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and physical therapists on the Preschooler’s team

Functional Vision Assessment, Learning Media Assessment, and Learning Media Plan Updates

The Functional Vision Assessment and Learning Media Assessment have been separated within the Assessments drop-down options. Also, the Learning Media Plan (LMP) document has been approved and is available as a fillable PDF. The LMP shall be uploaded into Supplemental Documents for students with visual impairments including blindness.
